Our classes

In a world that rarely slows down, meditation provides a sacred pause, or a return to the self. Here at Soulebration, meditation is about the journey deep into self, into the conscious space of you. The journey into meditation is more than technique; to us it is about more than that. It is a journey of self-inquiry and willingness to heal.

We hold space for you to explore the many layers of your inner self in a supportive environment. Each session you are invited to slow down, drop in, release and reconnect; with yourself and with life in its essence, and you will be guided by experienced facilitators in the cradle of nature.

All of the methods we offer are fundamentally based in ancient practices, chosen for their transformative potentials, and adapted to modern living, including modern conventional meditation practices.

Vipassana

The foundational practice of silent observation. Vipassana will teach you to observe thoughts, feelings and sensations as they come and go without judgement, creating an opening and a gap between experience and reaction and discovering a place of clarity.

Preksha Dhyana

Preksha Dhyana is the traditional Jain meditation which is the coordinated comprehending perception, the awareness of breathing, and inner imagery. It produces emotional cleansing and greater ability to hold one’s focus and deeper abilities of inner perception.

Steps:

  • Relaxation (Kayotsarga): Releasing tension in the mind and body to prepare for meditation.
  • Awareness of breath (Swasa Preksha): Focusing on and regulating the breath to promote mindfulness.
  • Awareness of the body (Sharira Preksha): Attending to the body and sensations that occur in it.
  • Inner imagining (Lesya Dhyana): Visualizing colors and energies to change or transform emotions.
  • Mantra chanting (Mahapragya Jaap): Reciting sacred sounds to help focus and connect spiritually.
  • Contemplation (Anupreksha): Observing ethical and spiritual ideas related to one’s own organization and/or individual growth.

Practices:

  • Sustained perception (continuous focused attention)
  • Awareness of breath
  • Inner imaging/visualization
  • Chanting/repetition of sound
  • Reflective contemplation

All of theseĀ  steps and practices could be seen as separate, but they can work together to purify emotions, regulate attention, and increase inner awareness and perception.

Antar Mouna / Inner Silence

This meditative procedure turns our awareness inward. It is a gradual process to withdraw from sensory sensation and the wandering mind to arrive at silence and stillness.

Yoga Nidra

A guided practice of conscious relaxation. It is sometimes referred to as “yogic sleep”, because it allows the body to sleep profoundly while the mind is awake. This helps to activate restoration in the subconscious and nervous system.

Transcendental Meditation

A simple mantra based technique that provides experience transcending thought effortlessly. By repeating a personalised sound, you settle the inner dialogue and access a profound inner silence at which point you enter a state of calm, creativity and rest.

Chakra Meditation

A deep journey through the body’s energy centres through breath, sound and imagery. Chakra meditation is a different state of consciousness that balances our emotional states, releases and re-energizes blocked pathways, and re-establishes equilibrium with our energy flow.

There are many more ways to meditate, each method is made to enhance inner peace and awareness. We do meditate in natural settings to enhance the connection of naturally being in the present moment.

Benefits:
